Coming from Alamogordo take Hwy 70 to Tularosa, in Tularosa, follow Hwy 54 to Carrizzo. Keep your eyes open. This highway is narrow. Turn right onto Hwy 380. Continue for 5 miles to Hwy 37. Follow Hwy 37 for 12 miles to mile marker 3. At the sign, turn right at the
Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout sign for great RVing in the mountains or to stay in one of the cozy cabins. To continue to Ruidoso just follow Hwy 37 till you are at the T-junction with Hwy 48. Take a right. Within 10 minutes you are at the city limits of Ruidoso.

Or go from Tularosa to Ruidoso. It's a beautiful trip. In Ruidoso take the Sudderth Drive that brings you to mid town. There you find the fun shops and great dining places. Continue till the T-junction with Mechem Drive. Take Mechem to the right and continue. Don't forget to visit Pub 48 and Farleys Pub. Mechem changes into highway 48. Continue for about 8 miles and cross the Angus Hill. At the bottom of the hill is highway 37 to the left. Follow highway 37 for 3 miles and turn left at the Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout sign for great RVing in the mountains or to stay in one of the cozy cabins.

Coming from Roswell take Hwy 70 towards Ruidoso. At the intersection of Hwy 70 and Hwy 380 outside Hondo, follow Hwy 380 through Lincoln and Capitan. This is part of the Billy the Kid scenic Byway. At Capitan, take Hwy 48 towards Ruidoso for about 10 miles. At the intersection of Hwy 48 and Hwy 37, turn right and follow Hwy 37 to mile marker 3. At the sign, turn left at the Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout sign for great RVing in the mountains or to stay in one of the cozy cabins. To continue to Ruidoso just follow Hwy 37 till you are at the T-junction with Hwy 48. Take a right. Within 10 minutes you are at the city limits of Ruidoso.
